Ingin notebook murah? Belakangan Anda bisa membeli Asus Eee PC seharga kurang lebih 3,6 juta (Linux) dan 3,9 juta (Windows). Cukup murah walau pun dengan seharga itu Anda harus puas dengan pemangkasan spesifikasi di berbagai area, misalnya layar, prosesor, RAM, harddisk, dll. Tapi nilai plusnya adalah ukurannya yang mini yang bila Anda adalah personal yang punya mobilitas tinggi, maka ukuran adalah segalanya.

Tapi saya cukup senang ketika membaca berita (“Zyrex Pun Rilis Laptop Rp 3 Jutaan”, detikinet.com) bahwa Zyrex (brand lokal) juga menelorkan notebook murahnya bertajuk Anoa. Anoa adalah notebook yang berbasis Classmate PC dari Intel. Classmate PC adalah sebuah desain piranti pembelajaran pribadi yang menyasar para pelajar berusia 5-14 tahun. Dan kita cukup beruntung karena sistem ini dapat hadir di Indonesia melalui Zyrex. Walau pun demikian, harganya masih cukup mahal. Di berita tercatat harganya Rp 3 jutaan. Coba bisa semurah OLPC yang harganya USD 100 itu.

Selain Anoa, Zyrex juga memperkenalkan Netbook Ubud. Kalau ini tentu sangat berbeda dengan Anoa yang menyasar pelajar karena Netbook Ubud menyasar kaum profesional yang memiliki mobilitas tinggi. Harganya sekitar Rp 4 jutaan.

Saat saya mengunjungi situs resmi Zyrex (www.zyrex.com), saya tidak menemui kedua produk keren ini. Yang saya temukan hanya Classmate PC, tetapi bukan dengan nama Anoa. Sedangkan produk yang mirip spesifikasinya dengan Netbook Ubud tidak saya temukan. Ehm… bagaimana nih Zyrex?
